The Deep River Ancient Muster - A fife and drum parade consisting of up to 70 units from around the USA. This wonderful Muster is held annually on the third Saturday in July, in Deep River Connecticut. In modern times it has been held since 1953, but it reenacts the earliest such event, which took place in 1879.

Drum and Fife corps bands marching through Deep River Connecticut. This Ancient Muster is the largest in New England with 65 to 75 drum and fife corps marching. Saturdays Parade is 2.5 to 3 hours long. Great fun for the family. Bring Water, a snack, and a comfortable chair, and most important of all... ARRIVE Early!

400+ Drums and Fifes in one HUGE last "F Troop" group making a 2nd trip along the parade route to the muster grounds. When this motivated performance passes you by, the thunder is so pure it will knock you right off your feet. If you are sensitive to loud sounds you should wear hearing protection for "F Troop"! Don't leave the parade early or you will miss this amazing experience!
